We had no idea then how we would miss those days decades later.

 

On This Day in History:
In 1919, in Boston, a tank containing an estimated 2.3 million gallons of molasses burst, flooding the city's North End and killing 21 people in what would later be dubbed the "Great Molasses Flood".
This was molasses!  In wintertime!

If you had a couple buddies with $20 bucks or $30 and a girlfriend. You could buy tickets, a t shirt, and beer. If you got pulled over on the way home. The cop would give you the stink eye look. Eyeball your girlfriends and smile......then take your beer and tell you " I don't want to see you again tonight! Don't be stupid! Get outta here!"
Then you would get out of there, pool up the last of your money and get a case of beer for the rest of the night!
