The last time I checked, the House of Representatives supposedly has 435 members. 407 plus 4 equals 411. How did the other 24 vote? Okay, I just checked the vote on that bill (https://www.congress.gov/votes/house/119-1/220). 411 voted, 19 did not vote. That adds up to only 430. Were there five vacant seats back on September 2nd? And yes, I confirmed those particular four votes were all "Nay"s. The bill was introduced back on January 28, 2025, passed the house on September 2, 2025, and is now stuck in the Senate, referred to the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs on September 3, 2025.
