Have you ever seen the price swings of silver? Going from 113 to 85 isn't a crash at all. It shoots up and then crashes down to anywhere from 50 to 80% of what the last peak just was. After the 2008 price freak out where it went to what $50 an ounce, it crashed back to around $10 or $12 an ounce a few years later. Then stayed around 15 to 25 for like a decade.
If it drops to 20 or below ,, I'm gonna sell off a bunch of junk , and buy all I can get. Of course I might be dead before it breaks a hundred again ,, but at least my daughter and granddaughter can benefit from it .
Yeah if it drops back below 20 I won't have any cash left to buy silver. I'll max out about $40,000 worth of credit cards
Yeah I'm not going to wait another 10 to 25 years for the price to double if the normal price is now around 100. Which I'm pretty sure it's not. Sure enough to bet most of my retirement savings on. It might drop down into the old normal 20s range the new normal price is more likely to be in the 30 to 50 range now. Depending on how hard and fast the price comes down is when I'll buy in. Could be waiting anywhere from 5 months and up to 2 years for a buy in.
Off loading my last hundred is proving difficult. SD bullion is a hundred ounces minimum on silver, not a problem. Called them twice for 10 to 20 minutes on hold both times...
I've never lost money but sure wish I had eaited longer. Got tired of waiting on silver to break the $30 an ounce mark. Sold some 100 oz bars I bought at $19 and sold at $28. Can't complain but damn! Sure would have been nice to sell at $120.
That's the problem I'm faced with. If I buy everything back in silver even at $35 an ounce I won't have anywhere secure to put it. At home? I'd rather not. I'm already looking at buying in kilos.
