The USD (as measured by DXY) has been trading in a range of 90-110 for basically the past 10 years.
The demise of the US dollar probably isn't going to happen in our lifetimes.
Actually, the US dollar has been in an uptrend for nearly 20 years.
Trump wants a weaker dollar, because it makes our exports cheaper and imports more expensive .. which he might hope drives domestic consumption .. and that is how we measure GDP .. domestic production - imports.
    Just math.

Do other countries want to knock us off as top banana? Sure. But there are no contenders to replace us. The wannabes are in way worse shape that we are.

You'd pay less than that right now if you went on midway usa dot com and only bought one brick of primers. Adding shipping and hazmat to that one brick.
They have cases for sale and no per customer limits.
Buy a case, one hazmat charge, worse case scenario shipping doubles, possibly lower per unit price for buying bulk. Gets the overall price per primer down a few pennies.

    Invest in aluminum.
Just about all bullet molds are in stock and on sale.
With all the bullet coatings out there pure lead bullets might be viable for some handguns. Make pure lead great again or at least try it.
    I bet a pure lead Keith style "240gr" in a 44mag or a 158gr 357mag would expand.

I went to buy my midway usa dot com order and everything in my cart was marked down as much as 30% off.
Reloading dies and bullet molds were the steepest. Powder was marked down the least. The keg of powder in my cart was marked down like 1%.
Knocked over a hundred dollars off my order.
Loose bullets and ammo were marked down around 10%.
When I buy ammo I usually only buy rimfire. Everything else I load.

Large rifle primers that 2 years ago people were saying would never be available again are 5 cents each if you buy a case.
They're almost paying people to take them at that price.

Its not like I can go to Walmart and buy a case of primers or a keg of powder.
The local gun shop orders random stuff they can get the cheapest, appears to be stuff on sale from midway or grafs which means it's stuff everyone else doesn't want.
So they'll never have trailboss, once every year or 2 they'll get varget at $75 a pound and they'll never get VV powders.
Gun shows have ancient and or over priced stuff, make that $75 a pound gun shop varget look like a bargin.
So if you have money to burn and can pay $120 for a brick of primers go for it and $75 a pound for domestic powder I say go for. I'm a get more like 2 and a third bricks fo 120 and only pay anywhere near $70 a pound for VV powders.

I've got powder I'm willing to part with at a loss.
Plus I'll order anything anyone wants, plus a 20% fee... Better than 2 to 3x gun show prices.
Also how many times has the fbi and ATF surveilled gun shows that we know of?
    It's a lot.
I worked with a guy in Virginia who's first job was as an fbi intern. He was thoroughly disgusted with it, said his main job was to take down license plate numbers at gun shows, in the 1990s...
Said he'd heard they've been doing this since at least the late 70s.
So if you thought you were being sneaky by going to gun shows, it probably didn't work.

Now that shot show is over there's a bunch of demo stuff for sale on the gun dealer sites.
There's a bunch of demo item on sale at Midway usa dot com discounted up to a third of.
I got a higher end scope that was a third off.
There will still be hell to pay when my wife finds out, but it will be a third less hell to pay.

I made a bullet trap 12x12” for the range using lead, about an inch thick in a cookie sheet. Bullets melt right in, and it is easy enough to addd or borrow from as required. If you are going through the lead put a plate of steel behind.
