Tried. Seemed like it might actually work. Then Cuba doubled down on stupid and shit went right back to how it had been.
I believe we can still go there. Just talking with my aunt and she just came back a week or two ago. Still can't bring cigars or rum back with you
I'd go. My grandma said it was nice before the revolution. She even danced with Castro at some soiree when he was pro-America. Yugoslavia was like a time capsule in 1989 when I went there. I would like to compare Cuba at another historical milestone. Because it is going to suck like licking a cats ass once American real estate developers get in there.
Cuban cigars are overrated. People always want what they can't have, which is most of the allure. These days the best tobacco is easily Nicaraguan, and there's no shortage of that. The land in Cuba has been way too over cultivated, it's essentially a shadow of its former self. But, that won't stop the big spenders fascinated with Cuban cigars I guess.
The tobacco growers left Cuba and took their knowledge and seeds with them. All you need to make good rum is know-how and sugarcane. About the only export that Cuba has to offer the world these days is hookers.
I don't know, I still have not found anything better than my beloved Belindas. So smooth and tasteful. I've tried to find an easier to get replacement but have had no luck so far.
