I think I've driven that one. Or one nearly like it. Highway 101 on the central Oregon coast. Finally got a chance to pass a car towing a small travel trailer on a rare straight stretch, only to have a Volvo rise out of the dip ahead as I was at the car's left front fender. I had already pulled it to 2nd and punched it to pass. I pulled it to 1st, put my foot to the floor and swerved in front. The next curve was right ahead, a 90, and I was doing about 45 when I hit it. Guardian angels were working overtime protecting everyone on that one. The engine had a strange rattle for a while after that. Huh? Wonder why. But it went away within a few miles. I almost wrote that I never did anything that again, but there was one time . . . Nah, that really was a straight stretch, even though the curves started right after the pass. Down the mountain. And immediately into a cloud. Major fog, couldn't see 50 feet. And yes, I did slow down.
