Motivational Poster Thread (warning content)

I had to see if I could find a picture. Sure enough, there it was, just how I remember it. Seven Mile Rd and Evergreen. Detroit.

 

Once when I was working a minimum wage job, I subletted a little ramshackle house from an exfriend. It began as an extension on back of a trailer, later the trailer was removed and the second half of the building constructed. Bathroom was so tight I actually had to step over the toilet to enter/leave the shower. And my fridge was one of these old coke machines. Kept my softdrinks, water, mayo, bread, etc. cold.

 

Some of the stories are still painful.

 

I cheer, and then buy a lot of Apple and Xerox stock.

I graduated HS in 1970 - wouldn't mind living there again

 

Depending on the time of year, I am in 7th or 8th grade, 13 years old. If I know what I knew in today's timeline, there are many changes I'd make, to better my future life. If I can't change anything, it's a wasted trip. I don't want to just replay old times as they were. No point. If I can make changes, I'd go back in a New York Second!
