Motivational Poster Thread (warning content)

I had one of them little Delta tabletop table saws ,, was making the last cut of the day on a job I was working ,,, I had 2 guys working for me ,, 1 guy was pretty good,, the other ,, not so good ,, but he tried ,, I was cutting a little small piece of wood on a 45 degree angle ,, the not so good guy came out of the house ,, walked by me and my better worker ,, as soon as the boy walked by me ,, he just took a nose dive into the concrete driveway. When that happened,, I lost concentration on the table saw ,,, and the little piece I was cutting,, kicked back ,, and my thumb hit the blade ,, ripping it open ,, and spitting blood . The boy that face planted the driveway ,, just laid there with his head shaking ,, like he was knawing on concrete . I wrapped my thumb into my Tshirt ,, and told my other guy to drag the other boy into the grass.
Well ,, the guy that was knawing on concrete had epilepsy,,, and he had a seizure and just hit the ground . I noticed him a few times during the day where he just seemed to freeze up for a quick second ,, but I thought it was just my eyes blinking during his motion .
So ,, I wrapped my thumb up ,, got the tools up ,, grabbed some rags and and cleaned the boys face up ,,and put him in the truck. We didn't talk much on the way home ,, he had a sore face ,, and I was keeping pressure and a rag on my split open thumb.
I got the guy home ,, dropped him off ,, made sure he was OK.
The next morning I didn't even go by to pick him up ,, figured he could use a few days to heal up .
This happened on a Thursday,, so I went by and picked him up on Monday or Tuesday.
On the way to the job ,, I asked him how he was feeling,, he said he was doing OK. He was kind of quiet ,, wasn't talking any . So finally,, I asked him if he knew what happened ,,, he said ,, No ,,, so I told him he evidently had a seizure and face planted into the concrete . He said ,,, oh ,, ok ,,, I asked him ,, " did you not remember that ?? ,,, he said " no" ,,, he said ,, " I thought I might have mouthed off to you ,, and you whooped my ass " . I laughed ,, and asked him if he really thought I whooped his ass ?? ,, he said , yea .
The boy was kind of a smart mouthed guy ,, and was to much of a bony little kid for me to be Whooping up on ,, I told him I wouldn't never whoop on him for smart mouthing ,, just if he tried Whooping up on me .
But ,,, it took a couple of weeks for my thumb to heal up and I could take the bandages off of it ,,, just about as much time as it took that boys face to heal up.

 

I can remember my Mom buying those.
