I agree, especially with how property taxes keep increasing every year, and I'm on a fixed limited income.

I'm fine with that as long as we have a fair outcome - if you don't pay taxes, then you don't get to vote on government that affects those who do.

As it stands now people who don't pay taxes ie students, unemployed, illegals, vote. I earned the right to vote worked and pay taxes all my life -----federal gas tax, phone tax, buy hunting or fishing gear pay taxes --the list is endless my friend I would still be paying

 

But, property tax is a whole different thing from income tax. I agree with you regarding income taxes. Though I would like to see that replaced by something more egalitarian, like a consumer tax.
