A tough looking group of hairy bikers are riding when they see a girl about to jump off a bridge, so they stop. The actual first steps on the moon were filmed by a camera mounted to the lunar module. (Hasselblad Apollo 11 camera)

It's amazing what you can find with the right search words. I saw it all live on TV every night.

We didn't switch over to metric hardware on cars until the mid 1970's, because the global market for cars was expanding. Remember the Chevette? Then it was metric engine fasteners and standard fasteners on the chassis. I didn't fully separate my inch and metric tools until about 2003. GM still uses both systems for measurement, because most U.S. machine shops are not set up to use the metric system. With digital measuring devices that can switch with the press of a button this is getting easier, but there are whole trades that have no international scope. They use inches and feet, and likely always will.
