I think the idea is that you open the door, swing it out and use it at the roadside. For the local Chinese market it probably doesn't need a bottom. I saw a video some guys made of a brand new modern looking gas station. Outside was all shiny and clean. Toilets were just holes in a concrete slab that hung out over a cliff.
