This is not advocacy of violent uprising, just a query

I know of one YouTuber, Colion Noir, whose videos I enjoy watching, who, quietly, and not in an alarmist fashion, points to the words of the 2nd Amendment, i.e., 'A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state...' and so on, and cautiously enquires as to whether, depending on what happens, we ought to consider this possibility.
Obviously, in the real world, once you start forming militias, though the 2nd Amendment indicates we have the right to, you are talking, well, war. Real people firing real guns at each other. orders to shoot civilians.
Personally, I prefer to take the approach Dr. King and the civil rights marchers took, demonstrating that if you have enough people sufficiently committed to the cause you can achieve incredible things, and that is non-violent civil disobedience. I think I read something today about folks in Virginia refusing to go along with the bogus, jerry rigged Congressional districts created by Democrats to ensure that only Democrats could win House seats there. I probably have some of my information wrong, but efforts like that, in all the States where such specious districts exist, would be a very good, and necessary, step in the right direction, no gun fire needed.
So two questions...What are you thoughts, in a worst case scenario, about the formation of militias? And do you believe that large scale, non-violent civil disobedience can work for us--like if the Democrats win the House back, simply refusing to go along with any laws or regulations they implement?

As a US citizen one is already a member of the Militia. And no, I really do not see any significant change happening without lethal force involved. Think of what our government has become: It's just like professional wrestling where they hate each other in the ring and then ride together to the next arena for the next big show.

SOP for The Uniparty. Dems and Reps are just two sides of the same tarnished plug nickle. Worthless but somehow in control of everything. No matter how you vote, the Elitists win.

The system is rigged to work in the favor of those with the power, and we transitioned from a Constitutional Republic to a corporate oligarchy before any of us were born. A militia is inherently important to sustaining the balance of power, and I recall a time in the not so distant past when it was under direct assault during the Bush Administration. We've been sounding the alarm for so many decades now, but the People are divided and distracted and becoming poorer every year. The two party political system has become increasingly radicalized and violent, and somehow we've managed to import tens of millions of military aged men into our midst to stir the pot even more.

It's not difficult to see how any armed Citizenry will be targeted in the near future, but an organized militia may prove to be more advantageous than single armed people trying to fend off radicalized zombies. In either case, it will be violent at some point.

We are well on our way, working through all the historical empirical triggers that lead to social unrest and ultimately kinetic interaction...
    1. Political corruption is now overt and rampant.
    2. SCOTUS is overtly subverting the 2A.
    3. The People are gradually getting angrier.

The dems have moved massively LEFT, and the REPS followed them, to the point that the half of the population that owns all the guns is no longer represented by anyone. It's literally "frog in a boiling pot" time... and the only thing that sets the pot from boil to simmer is the government arresting and imprisoning the fraudsters and molesters... and that means putting "their own" in jail.... and I don't see that happening.

....So... it's just a matter of time.

I totally agree with all of the above. It will happen, sooner or later, and will probably be set off by some stupid Leftist law that they think will disarm us or by packing the USSC to ruin us by making all their laws legal.

One of the first things they taught us in NCO Academy was, 'Never give an order that will not be followed.' Once you do, you lose all creditability. For example, as if they think Americans will simply give up their means of self-protection, turn in their firearms simply because some elites in Gucci suites passed a law and a bunch of black robed fools in the USSC waved their hands stated, 'We have reviewed the law and found it good.' Not going to happen...and they will wish to God it never did.

Personally, I've had enough. Nothing will be change without violence. Trump has shown this over and over trying to revamp policies and he is stopped at every turn, every crossing, throwing log jams to slow roll anything and everything to keep the status quo in place, trying to wait him out so business can get back to normal. While the majority of the Republicans talk out of two sides of their mouths waiting and watching the ticking clock. Then, once again, it's kick the can down the road and let's get rich as we can before the country fails and falls. Congress is a breeding ground for corruption.

The thing that bothers me about Colion is that he's a lawyer, and like many other lawyer guntubers they think the 2A is about "personal protection".... when it isn't and never was.

The sole purpose of the 2A is so The People have the means to kinetically remove their government, should said government become authoritarian. I encourage people to read Federalist 46... the author of the 2A (James Madison) wrote it, and he clearly explains the reason for the 2A.

this has happened every time... Russia, China, Cambodia, etc...

sadly many dems and rino's think they will be exempt from this sort of thing...

yet history shows otherwise... they will become the enemy of the state almost immediately...

and again history has shown they are REMOVED from the system!!!

if you do NOT want such to happen here... well... bottom line NEVER surrender your fireams

The problem isn't just in keeping firearms, it is and will be deciding when to use them...and once that happens, what happens to YOU. The system they are building is making it harder and harder to carry. If you do, as we've seen since the last POTUS, God forbid you actually shoot somebody in self defense. It has gotten a little less tragic since Trump came into office, but not in the blue states. And that's the easy part. The really rough stuff comes when illegals start murdering people just because they are white and live in houses. Those with guns use them to defend home and family, but guess what? By that time, no alternative media is allowed to stream video, most people only believe the trusted media provided by and authorized by those popularly accepted.

And the cleansing begins. They have data files on everyone. Every phone user, all of your whereabouts, tracked at all times. The people are divided more than ever, there is no militia, nor organization, no communication, no battle readiness. If you thought it was easy for today's modern military to take out the third world radicals, just get a load of how simple it will be to eliminate yuppie clones on their own lawn.

Never surrender your firearms, but be ready to use them, too. And America isn't ready to use them for the reasons I just listed, and more.

For me, living in a Blue state surrounded by other Blue states, the problem is these states simply ignore all the excellent 2A Supreme Court rulings of the past fifteen months or so. Reciprocity, for example. I have a firearms permit in the Blue state I live in, and should be able to roll into the Blue state next door with no problem. At the moment, though, I'd get arrested.
I think I read that the Supreme Court has ruled or is about to rule that no one even needs a permit. They've made other helpful rulings, such as...There is no need to have your guns locked up in a safe in your home, you can place them wherever you wish. They even ruled we are allowed to own machine guns, although I personally am not interested in this. One of the real sticklers for me is when SCOTUS ruled that magazine size limits were bogus and vacated the practice. Well, the Blue states so far have ignored that ruling, too.

Fortunately here in sunny Florida we are now allowed to open carry. I was shocked when that happened, but pleased. THIS is what I call 'progressive', in the right way. (y)

At this point if you are living in a blue state you are wrong. Vote with your feet and move to a free state.

SC has open carry, and the opposition all screamed it would turn us into the wild west overnight. In 2 years I have seen one guy carrying openly.

A large part of the problem is we the people have been trained to NOT react... to let things go...

the indoctrination is to such a point many of our younger people SEEM to feel guilty about or prosperity etc...

I honestly am not so sure of this. Personally, I have found that people that leave Blue States are much more conservative and Constitutionalists than even I am. I'm in North Idaho and we have been swamped with Californian refugees the past 10 years. I know you don't believe that but even on my road (private road with 30 homes on it) about half the residents are from California and every one of them are conservative or ultra-conservative.

Now, I am not saying that there aren't not Blue face commies that move here, especially down South in the Boise area, that move here for the soul purpose of doing whatever is possible to turn the state blue...which explains why they move to Boise to be near the seat of government. Hell, probably getting paid to do so too by the Democrats (thankfully, Trump is drying up their funds), but the huge majority, the normal folk, are not.

Anyway, I do not agree with this statement. It is not what I have experienced. In fact, I have never met a Blue face commie from California or elsewhere in the last 11 years that I have been here. I suppose I should be thankful for that too.

My brother, I couldn't have put it better myself. ;) The right kind of progressive, indeed. As it happens, I've been wondering a lot about open carry, like...Will we in Mordor--my nickname for the Northeastern blue states--ever be able to open carry. Probably when hell freezes over.
