...or something similar. I actually took this picture, and it looked to me like the shooter was using an AR15 and forgot that the sights are three inches above the bore.

 

I once hunted with my old landlord, when I was renting a place. We were using his brand new Ford F250 truck. Had to sight in our rifles first morning. He used his truck hood as a rest. He too forgot about the scope height. First shot put an ugly crease right across the raised ridge in his hood. Ouch! Took all I had to not laugh.

Another time at our outdoor range, a work buddy had his shiny new Chromy set up, to measure velocity on some handloads. He got a bit off kilter, put a .45ACP right through the guts of his chrony. Sometimes, "it" happens.
