I repaired those dimmer switches for my dad's cars.

 

Which is one reason, when I reupped after my first hitch in the Airforce, had I gone into the Army or Marines I would have had to go through their bootcamp. No way I'd be a Boot again, after having reached E4 Seargent. I enlisted into the Navy, did drop to E3 but got my E4 back after graduating A-School (ET Tech School). Only had to initially do a two-week "OSVET" (Other Service Veteran) indoctrination class, to learn The Navy Way. We had exUSAF and exArmy guys join the Navy, but the only time I ever heard of a Marine joining the Navy was to become a SEAL, assuming he passed BUDS.
