Any of y'all find a warm body to spend the apocalypse with?

There seems to be a trend of men seeking wives from other countries
I've seen the results a few times and it doesn't always work out well. Just like here women misrepresent themselves, so only a man with the means to go to the other country and learn the language and meet her friends and learn about her and her culture might have a future.

 

My Uncle and Aunt met when they were students in college back in the 1960s, he in America and she in Finland. They were pen-pals, she was wanting to improve her English, and he was interested in expanding his worldview. Upon graduation, his parents gave him a trip to Europe as a gift, so he went to Finland. This was back when just getting there was an adventure. He got to Denmark, but missed his ferry, so the next day he arrived at the train station in Finland, 24 hours late. Luckly, his future father-in-law had suggested that they return to the train station in case he was delayed. My Uncle stayed a week and fell in love. He returned home, got a job, saved his money, and returned to marry her. They lived here (she couldn't believe Southern summers), they lived there (we sent him care packages), they had two kids, her parents visited several times, and they returned to Finland for vacations with their children and grandchildren. My Aunt finally got around to getting her American citizenship after about 25 years of marriage. They both retired and enjoyed life. My Uncle died a few years ago, but my Aunt is still with us. I guess they did it the right way.

 

It takes a lot of looking and some skill to know when you find the right one.
Best to do this work ahead of any apocalypse.

 

They truly lived The American Dream.

 

Back in the day I was about 16 a neighbor lady lived alone and took care of her self real well.
Split wood for her wood stove got on the roof with a tar bucket to reseal the tin and did all the chores to maintain the house.
I'd go over and lend her a hand with the trailer and I'd go with her to the dump and unload it for her.
She was about 90 years old and spry as a spring chicken, just a little hard of hearing.
We would have tea and she'd share her life stories with me.
Oh and her name was Mis. Stewart and was from pasadena and drove a 1957 Chevehe and rode the clutch. you could hear that engine roar 3 blocks away.. That is a person I respected;

 

So, if I'm reading the room right, I shouldn't expect Sydney Sweeney to beg me to let her into my man cave...
