Loved the old F-100 and F-150 trucks, and I HATE the new trucks!

 

More so, in my estimation. These schools require actual hands-on work, application of real-world principles, build actual skills and experience, and provide a solid foundation for a career. Such cannot be said for far too many university courses. There are far too many university grads, holding useless but expensive degrees, who end up working minimum wage jobs in retail or fastfood.

 

Eighteen for me. The only ones I never actually used were a Walkman and dial-up internet.

 

I never liked Schlitz. I really never cared for any beer, but this stuff was always definitely lower-tier.

An old lady goes to the doctor and says ‘doc, I can’t stop farting. They’re silent with no smell, but I’ve let out 20 in the past 5 minutes sitting here’
The doc gives her some pills and tells her to come back next week.
The next week the old lady comes back and says ‘doc, I took the pills, the farts are still silent but now they stink!’
The doc says ‘great! We’ve cleared your sinuses, now let’s work on your hearing!’

 

I miss my old '79 F 100 ,,, 3 speed manual on the column ,,300-6 cylinder,, 3/4 ton springs under the rear . It wasn't fast ,, but it was consistent and reliable.

 

I miss mine also. That is until the cab mounts rusted out and the cab started to sink.

 

Sadly though, Trump cannot run again for President, he's had his two terms. The prior terms do not have to have been consecutive. But hopefully Mike Pence can run and win in 2028.

 

Yes, such stupidity is real. During my Airforce time, late 1970s while cruising Panama City Beach, I watched a guy shark fishing from a pier full of tourists. He climbed into a truck inner tube, plopped a big baited hook in his lap and paddled out away from the pier and other fishing lines. Dropped his hook in the water and paddled back to the pier, climbed back up and started fishing! On the small bait shack on the head of the pier were several fair sized sets of toothy shark jaws, caught right there!
Another time while flying in the base Aeroclub Cessna (I was a passenger) we watched the tourists splashing in the water just off the white sand beach. A little further out from them were the sharks, milling around catching fish disturbed by the tourists. A LOT of sharks, mostly smallish sand sharks. Those tourists had no idea!

 

Reminds me of Dad.

 

I must respectfully disagree. They deserve more respect. Four year degrees outside of STEM are pretty much a waste of time and money.
