Only thing more memorable than the smell of Xylene is the taste of old school carburetor cleaner. I had had to all over my hands and made the mistake of biting my nails. YUK!! It was worse than when my Aqua Velva leaked on my dental floss in my shaving kit.

After years around this stuff and working right next to a CARC paint facility I got so sensitive to paint fumes that even a whiff would make sores break out in my nose. I had to take the long way around to get to work so I could avoid the paint smells.
