Cats are only understood buy their humans ,, I say humans ,, because most cats ,, are not owned ,,, people with cats ,,, are not cat owners ,,, they are cat caretakers ,,, if you think you own a cat ,,, you are a under a cats spell ,,,:ROFLMAO:

"Dogs have owners, cats have staff."
Also, the ancient Egyptians worshipped cats, and the cats think that condition still applies. :D

:) all good, gives the wife and I a common goal.

We have a chronic cat napper in the hood, for kicks he grabs cats/kitten off construction sites and drags them home only to turn the animals loose in the neighborhood, he needs an ass-whipping and a good one.

Not hardly, we refer to Bobby as ''f'tard'' He basically catnaps some kids cats or mawmaws cat and dumps them here.
He probably would act better in cuffs.

I had a black cat come up around my house about 1 -1/2 ago ,, I screwed up and started feeding it . Next thing I knew,, it had 4-5 kittens . So I kept feeding till the kittens were old enough to move on ,, and they just started disappearing.
The mama cat is still around,, some,, but I don't feed it anymore,, it just visits for a day or so ,, then moves on .

We bought this house in '97. The next year a little orange and white female showed up and before we could say "DON'T FEED THAT CAT!" the daughters already had. She got knocked up before we could get her fixed, and she had the first litter of three in May of '98. Not long after, she turned on her kittens when they tried to feed and I said "Is she getting fat or, ???, OH NO!". So, she came in the house till the next litter of four was weaned, then she got fixed. And those four stayed in the house till they got fixed. And the daughters named all seven as they were born, and, well, when they've been named you can't possibly break your daughters' hearts, right? Carmen (biggest of the second litter) disappeared just past one year old. Momcat soon after. We're pretty sure the neighbor shot him, thinking our cats were punching holes in his hottub cover. I saw the prints, and told him they were made by coons, or we'd have probably lost more cats to him. He was a bit off. I'll shorten the rest of the story, but feeding that one cat kept us in cats for almost twenty years.

Yep, too often you don't adopt just one cat, especially a stray. They always are "the gift that keeps on giving", at least til fixed. :D

I'll try and make this story make sense ,,,
My Dad's childhood home was a shack that started out in the early 1800s ,,, property went back to the 1700s ,,, the shack house was added on to ,, till it was a 2 story ,, walk around front porch . 100 acres or crops ,, and cattle fields.
The old house always had cats around,, grandma fed them ,, but they were never let into the house .. grandma would put a few bowls of food out on the porch for the cats to eat . But they never came into the house . .
So ,, when grandma died ,,, family showed up ,, folks brought food ,, a big showing of folks ,, the way it was back in those days. Anyway ,, the church , and graveyard ,, was right beside the house ,, across the street.
Well after the funeral ,, and all the family and friends gathered at the house ,,, this one big female tabby cat ,,, strolled up into the house ,, jumped up on the countertop ,, and spread out like she owned the place. Grandma never allowed a cat in their house. My grandfather,, dad ,, mom,, and others noticed this ,,and my mom started to run the cat out of the house ,, my grandfather said ,, wait a minute ,,, then my grandpa said ,, let her be ,, it might be Mabel ,,, Mabel was my grandma's name. That cat hung around,, and in the house until a short period of time before my grandpa's death .
It was strange how it all happened,, but my folks ,, which have also all passed on at this time . Truly believe that , that cat was the spirit of my grandmother . And I have no reason to discount that belief ,, because I know everything I said was true.
