Not believing him and his ilk would be a terrible mistake. He needs to know there is now a target in his back. When THEY begin the war, he is among the first to go down.

The monkey is far more talented. And better looking. She makes my skin crawl. Like the big bug in "Men In Black" wearing the Edgar Suit.

We had a gasoline powered washing machine up to 1946. The machine set on the porch with 2 wash tubs behind it, The wringer dropped clothes in the first tub and mom rinsed them, run them thru the wringer again, rinsed them in the clean tub and then rang them out again and put them in the basket to hang on the line. When the tub got dirty, 2 or 3 loads, she would drain it, put the water from the tub next to the washer into the machine and pour water heated on the stove to get the temp she wanted and then add soap. She made lye soap and it had to be mixed with hot water to dissolve. Then she would add fresh water to the the empty rinse tub and put it in the last place. Didn't do that for diapers as they were boiled in a copper boiler on the stove. Hand pumped the water and heated it on a wood stove. Our motor was a 4 stroke with a carb so it ran a constant speed and didn't smoke. Mom loved that machine and replaced it with the same type with an electric motor.

I always liked that foot pedal start. I had a Hawk Tool Co scooter that was a huge thing with a torque converter that was supposed to be Maytag powered. We put a Briggs & Stratton on it and bolted the torque converter in the closed (largest diameter) position. It was slow to get going, but would wind out to about 30 MPH. My neighbor was riding it and tried to take it "Around the block." That was five miles of gravel roads.

He made it about a mile, the old V belt started to separate and whipped welts on his leg. He rode back sitting side saddle.
