Actually, I do too. They just don't like me that well. My 26 did, but like a moron I got rid of it. I have heard from friends in LE that they sometimes have to go through a couple before they find the ones that likes them. Odd. The 1911's though, all seem to like me.

    I'm the opposite - I live in a Glock-free enviroment! LOL

I do like the SA XD series though and a friend just bought one. For me it's 1911's, baby!

No Glocks at my house either. I'd rather have a sig 45 as a spare handgun. Nothing seems to feel as good as my Colt 1911 :D

Sorry, Melbo. Another Anti-Glock vote. If you practice the same way of presenting a handgun on target, after a lot of practice, 95 % of aiming is by muscle memory. The next time you dry fire practice, present your gun, go back to low ready, close your eyes, and bring the gun back up on target. Open your eyes, and you should have a very little amount of sight alighment to do. The steeper grip angle of the Glock lets me see the whole top of the slide. There are people who can go back and forth, but I'm not one of them.

Maybe it's just that 1911's seem to need more TLC than the G.

My SA, "loaded" micro-compact has been back to SA 3 times and I still wouldn't trust it to go bang as a carry piece. My wife got it for me one Christmas and I expected more out of a $900+ 1911.

She realy surprised the hell out f me with the gift though. Went to the shop, picked it out, OD color, and did the 4473 all herself.

    She's a good woman b::

I haven't fired my full size Springfield yet. Maybe the small size of the Micro is the problem.

    The house has 3 G-19s, 2 26's, 1 21 and 1 30. (I'm not a 9mm or ,45 cal purist either. I see the purposes of both and carry accordingly.

    YMMV

I think we have you outnumbered.

The problem with the micro might be the size. I have heard of lots of problems with the micro 1911's. John Browning designed it with a barrel length of five inches.

You do have a good woman. Mine actually bought that Glock 32 for me for my birthday one year.

Didn't you buy Dustin a 1911? How does he like it?

I'll get melbo's back. Heck, I'm the guy that is responsible for his current addiction. I love them also, even if I only own one right now. The 1911 is a good pistol, but I can get two 19s for the amount I would spend on one 1911 tricked out to fit my needs.

I don't own a Glock. Not because I don't like them (though I tease Glock owners about their plastic guns all the time), but because I've yet to find a Glock that will not only fit my hand but doesn't feel top heavy when I hold it.

    Believe me I've tried.

Give me my Beretta 92F or my 1911's. I'm comfortable with both.

Okay and yes I like my S&W revolvers (don't even go there guys because they are all from the 60's & early 70's so they are way before S&W did their sell out).

Actually Tomkins (British) sold S&W to Safe-T-lock an American company. So they are now American owned once again. BTW, the new American company refused to honor the agreement with the previous administration.

I can't seem to get used to the slant of the grip. But I have never really jumped up and down about the polymer frames. Though I do want to pick up an XD in .357sig :D

Another vote for the 1911.I have read that there have been problems with the compact ones.I know Col. Cooper rips them pretty hard.I've had Colt,SA and Norinco and never a blip with any of them.
