This country is so damned lethargic that we will do nothing but throw money at the rioters anyway. At a recent after-match get-together, the topic was about what will happen when Obama gets in office, relating to gun control. The consensus was that legislation would pass to hold ammunition manufacturers liable for the mis-use of their products, thereby causing them to just close the door and walk away. Do you think a stupid extension ladder is actually worth the $300.00 or so that they cost? Of course not but the manufacturers have to cover their liability. WHen ammo becomes a few hundred dollars a box, only "Hunters" will bother to buy it. I contend that if we allow this to happen, then we get just what we deserve.

We are already in SHTF status, with the banking fiasco, mortagage problems, credit meltdown, ad infinitum.

If the election problems kick in, with massive riots, it could go into TEOTWAWKI status. If martial law gets declared - all bets are off.

2009 is shaping up to be an 'interesting' year, as the old Chinese curse would say. [shtf]

    +1 to SC.
We as a people need to reap what we have sown. Hopefully people will understand that what Barack will do will be a POOR choice for this country. However as my mom says: "You need to lose what you had before you want it back"

McCain and Obama are on the same team, just wearing different jerseys. We are already in a world of s**t, thanks to the corporate plutocracy created when voters don't spend an ounce of time choosing their candidates. Most people just want to be entertained... thus the obscene salaries of atheletes, actors, etc... rather than take the time to research politicians and their views, let alone hold them accountable.

I work as a public servant (firefighter), and it just honks me off to see cut-backs in our field of service to allow more money to be spent on artsy-fartsy entertainment, pro-sports arenas and adorning streets. Maybe our society needs a "shock" in order to re-evaluate priorities in our lives.

Okay, got that out of my system, now I can smile!

I think it's funny...... after 20 out of the last 28 years under republican control, we are in shtf status now. Unbelievable infringements on our civil rights, big brother and big government is at previously unimagined levels, an economy completely in the dump, a socialized banking system, our people are being killed by suicide bombers in two countries, we've actually had to have a dialog about torture being acceptable or not, our image around the world has never been lower.

And OMG what will happen it the Democrat gets in office!!! [ROFL][ROFL]

Not just any democrat; getready for gun and ammunition bans.read"somewhere" Obama would ban .223and .308 because they are(evil buzzword)"military calibers". Not mentioning miltary calibers are designedto kill and wound 180 pound humans and more powerful"hunting" calibers to kill 300lb elk.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm sure I'm not going to like the Obama administration, especially on his gun control stance, or the McCain administration for any of his stances including gun control. McCain gets a bad grade from both the NRA and GOA.

I just think it's funny that folks that are standing in the middle of a fire that has been started by and tended too by the repubs are worried that the next president might strike a match.

I'll vote for RP, as if it mattered anyway.

NRA-PVF Endorses John McCain and Sarah Palin for President and Vice-President

    Thursday, October 09, 2008

Fairfax, VA. - The National Rifle Association's (NRA) Executive Vice President, Wayne LaPierre, and NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) Chairman Chris W. Cox are traveling to Pittsburgh, Pa., Springfield, Mo., Colorado Springs, Colo. and Reno, Nev. today for a series of press conferences endorsing Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin for President and Vice President respectively in the November 4 election.
"John McCain has more than two decades of pro-gun and pro-hunting votes in Congress. He has stood time and again to preserve our Second Amendment freedom and our rich hunting heritage," said LaPierre. "Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin have earned the NRA-PVF's endorsement and we will encourage gun owners, hunters and anyone who values freedom to vote McCain-Palin on November 4."
"NRA members and gun owners will not allow Barack Obama to hide his radical record of opposition to our constitutional rights," said Cox. "Obama has voted to make self-defense with a firearm in the home illegal, has voted to ban the most commonly owned hunting shotguns, has voted to ban commonly owned hunting ammunition, and has supported a 500% tax increase on guns and ammunition. We will remind voters every single time he pretends that his anti-gun record doesn't exist."
John McCain voted for the landmark Firearms Owners Protection Act and the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, opposed the failed Clinton Gun Ban, and voted against mandatory waiting periods, national gun registration, and bans on hunting ammunition. He also signed the historic congressional amicus brief in the case of Heller v. District of Columbia, holding that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms -- a brief that Senator Obama refused to sign.
Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin is a hunter, gun owner and NRA Life Member. Gov. Palin has been a consistent and outspoken supporter of the constitutional rights of law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen.
Members of the media are invited to attend these significant events. Locations and times of events are as follows:
    Pittsburgh, Pa. - 8 A.M. EDT

The SHTF fire was lit under the American "Pot" in the 30's when the socialist started pushing through their agenda with the blacks and started Welfare for them and have only gotten bolder and more brazen as we have gone along .

Elect McCain and we just continue to "Cook" a bit longer and become more tender .

Elect Obama and ring the dinner bell to "Come and get it" Blacks/mob rule has begun and the Birth of another 3rd world country has arrived , not much of a difference between the two other than the timetable if you ask me .

If the morons had any sense the should have shot every stupid white that marched for "Civil Rights" in the 50's and beyond because all they were really marching for was the destruction of the country .

I hope they all rot in Hell for it .

Okay....one last thing for everyone to be aware of........

Since the Senate and the House are Democratically controlled right now, if Obama gets in, then the whole executive branch will be run by Democrats.

Nothing will stop the Democrats from doing anything they want to do, because there will be no opposition to their agendas i.e. gun control, taxes, civil liberties, etc.

With that in play, TEOTWAWKI will most likely happen in short order.

Yup I know, I can only hope he will have his thinking evolve back to the correct side, we are going to get one of these two in office, no-one else is.... and your fooling yourself if you think anyone beside these two have a snow balls chance in hell of winning in NOV.

My sentiment exactly Quigs......it will be either McCain or Obama for the next president. It really is unfortunate that this country has had to settle for the lesser of two evils for a president for so many years now. It doesn't help that the media is biased and only shows the American public what they want us to see either....

Quig, The NRA also backed George H.W. Sr, We got SR922r which started the craze to ban importation of socalled assult rifles, I will not make that mistake again.

As Howard Stern recently said on his radio show, "99% of all voters does not know what the %*#* is going on with politics". We the 1%ers cannot outvote the 99%. I am simply leaving the Obama/McCain boxes blank. I will vote for my congress critter and a county judge that has a very solid reputation. As for the rest of them, I will not even offer them a squirt of my you know what.
