This kind of stuff is why prepared people keep their damn mouths shut about what they have. If no one knows you have thousands of pounds of grain and beans and thousands of cans of whatever they cannot take it as easily. Loose lips....
Understand completely, but this is a gray market coop which is very little difference that a farmers market where you go to sell produce. The problem is, they did a lot of business on their own property without a business permit which in any case does not require the use of a full fledged swat team and APC's. This is nothing but "Police State" show of force designed to scare everyone else into submission. Wonder how much money this will cost the county in the long run. Just like Texas and the FLDS church. It's gonna cost them.
We can hope that is the case. A few expensive lessons might do the trick, but as long as dot gov is using funny money to pay its debts, there is some doubt in my mind.

Actually Patrick, you have made the assumption and take the word of the family that is obviously "under the gun" alright -- probably for running an unlicensed business. If that family were mine and I was actually "terrorized", I'd have been on the phone to my lawyer and the local paper in a nanosecond..." hmmm...Can't believe anything on tha interweb...!! I'm sorry I helped spread a malicious rumor. ( it'll never happen again...)
No problem Tango, what really gets me is that Mr. John Loeffler, the radio broadcaster that started this blantant lie, I will google his name and see what I can find out about him.
