I fired a Glock 18 with suppressor a few weeks ago at the gun club; belonged to a Class lll dealer.

Sea, the range I work at has Glock 34 with the full auto switch installed in our rental case. Fun little gun to shoot.

I actually prefer to shoot the LUSA's we have, full auto machine pistols, look kinda like an UZI. Ah, it's fun workin at the candy store :)

Whose the gun whore? I don't own them I just get to use them, whenever I want, all I gotta do is pay for the ammo :)

I will say that in the 2 years I have worked at the range my gun collection went from 2 (glock 27 & marlin 336) to 14 (some of them were inherited)

Ok. I earlier reported how I had to buy a new pistol because I happened to come across a holster for it. I caught a lot of flack from that one around home. My wife still thinks I planned it that way.

Well, now I think she will seriously start to evaluate my motives, not to mention my sanity.

I bought a rifle today because I had ammo for it. Yes, I am beyond redemption. I have always been a target shooter. I competed in many long range shooting competitions. In the 80's the .50 BMG started to become all the rage in the long distance shooting community. Of course I had to have one. I bought a highly accurate match grade single shot. The barrel is a custom made 32 inch Walther-Lotham from Germany, guaranteed from the factoy to shoot a 5 inch pattern at 1000 yards and 21 inch at a mile.

I have had it for over 10 years and over the years I have picked up ammo anytime I saw a deal at the gun shows. A few weeks ago I did an inventory on my ammo supplies and was astounded to find that I had acquired over 1000 rounds of .50 BMG over the years.

1000 + rounds with only a single shot rifle to shoot it in. Well, there were only two options. Either sell some of the ammo, or...............buy another rifle!

I bet you can guess which option I chose.

Say hello to my little friend!

um..., E.L. can I store this at your house for awhile? Just until I get up the nerve to tell the wife!

I don't know about E.L. but you can surely store it at my house any time you need to. :D

That picture makes me giggle and get all giddy just looking at it.

Very nice! I hope it is everything you hoped it would be!

[drooling] Tell you what, I'll rent you some storage in the gun cabinet I'm building. 5 rounds a week should be about right, and it will help with your over supply. (Barrel break in is optional, free for the asking and the ammo to do it with.) For another 5 rounds (plus needed sighters) I'll sight it in (cold barrel) at 300 yards, which is all I have available. After you get the scope, I'll mount and regulate it, too. Just another 5 rounds plus sighters will be about right.

I never feel guilty about buying a weapon that I want. Sometimes, the economic picture is not conducive to acquiring the item of the moment so I'll sell or trade something that I don't play with as often to supplement to collection.

I bought it on a layaway plan. I won't make the final payment until next month. Then I have to buy the scope for it. I already have one picked out.

I just looked this up on Bushmaster's website, They guarantee 1" MOA with standard M33 ball ammo. Happy shooting.

Would like to have one but there is no range in my part of the state that allows 50bmg's.

I have been reading reports on BiggerHammer and talking to some long range shooters that have shot these and the concensus seems to be very positive. They are relatively new to the market. I have been looking at them since they first came out. I am very curious to see how the left hand bolt works. Most of the reports have been good. They say it takes a little getting used to, working the bolt left handed, but once you do, it works great.

A good friend of mine is a former Marine Corp Scout/Sniper and he said that the left hand bolt is actually a very good idea. You don't have the head lift and subsequent need to re-aquire your sight picture. You can keep your head motionless, your cheek /shoulder weld tight, and never lose your eye relief. It should make for very fast and accurate follow up shots.

With the current political climate I decided that if I was going to get one I should go ahead and do it now. If nothing else the price will only continue to go up.

When I get it I'll let you all know how it shoots!![beer]

Like your haid ain't gonna move wen dat puppy pharts. (But I really can see some advantage with three point support, or even just a bipod but not if you try it offhand.)

Definately need a range report. It there a possibility of video?
