I just fond a thread on another forum talking about this and thought should mention it here. The ATF decided that the Akins Accelerators that simulate auto fire on 10/22s were legal and they sold for about $1k. Now they have changed their minds and want folks to disable them and send in the springs to them as well as let them know who they bought it from if a private sale and who they sold it to if they sold it. http://www.atf.gov/alcohol/info/revrule/rules/2006-2_q_and_a.pdf Sounds like Nazi Germany trying to get folks to name name for things they have decided are new crimes, and not sure the Nazis would be any worse to face than BATF showing up.

This stinksto "high heaven", Whats next?? I don't have records for every gun trade i've ever made. They can't ( don't think; they can)charge you with anything, for not disclosing; just doing "their job" investigating...
ME: Bummer, I wanted to get one. ATF: You're not allowed, we can't have civilians owning that much firepower. ME: It's a 22 you idiots, what am I going to terrorize, a colony of squirrels? It just seems crazy to me that we even have to waste our tax dollars on stupid, irrelevant crap like this, that makes no real difference at all.

Well, guess now would just have to go ahead and build a gatlin gun in .45-70 instead if want to burn ammo quick since thats still legal at least.
This is so much crap and it will continue as long as the idiot king rules the throne. We need a major shakeup and we need it soon. Maybe a meteor or something. Just hope it gets here real quick.
