Just got an offer from Mountain House to take off their hands some overrun government pork chop cases--mfg. in Jan. 2006. They have a limited number of cases and they are being shopped to several dealers. (The only pork chops they produce are for the government. They are in high demand in the civilian market, so when fresh chops are available like this, they go fast.) I am going to buy some, but I need to know how many cases I should buy for our customers by Monday, 2/26. My club member pricing is going to be about $219 per case, shipped. Non-member pricing will be about $282, shipped. (Obviously, again, a $19 one-time membership fee shows itself to be a huge bargain.) I may need to move even before Monday, so if you want in, let me know asap by emailing me ( jcrefuge@safecastle.net ) or responding to this thread. Some more info ... MFG Date - January 2006 Shelf Life - 25+ years Each can is 1 lbs. 4 oz. (567 grams) Note - 1 pound of freeze dried chops is equal to 3 lbs. of fresh boned pork chops!! 6 cans per case, 28 chops per can These cases are currently packaged for the Government. Therefore these cans will need to be labeled with a Mountain House label, so we need to allow 4-6 weeks lead time for shipping.<!-- / message --><!-- sig --> <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
Re: Cases of Mountain House Pork Chops Available if we move Safecastle Royal members can pay when the chops are here and ready to ship (but I need their reservations asap). Non-members need to pay by Monday in order to guarantee their reserved cases. Anyone who pays now gets in on the crazy freebie giveaway that almost doubles your haul for the money. That freebie sale will end before the chops are here and payment will be due from members at that point (without the extra freebies thrown in).<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
Re: Cases of Mountain House Pork Chops Available if we move 7 pounds of dehydrated canned meat (with really really long shelf life) for $219? Am I reading this right?
Re: Cases of Mountain House Pork Chops Available if we move Correct, Gary. For club members. To be more accurate, freeze-dried meat--by all accounts, some of the most delicious meat available anywhere--in high demand. I'm swamped this morning on this deal, so if you want in, you may want to jump. I don't know if we'll reach our limit or not, and how fast.
Re: Cases of Mountain House Pork Chops Available if we move When you're eating rice, beans & veggies, Pork chops are going to look REALLY good. especially since they're my favorite meats. I'm in CG
Re: Cases of Mountain House Pork Chops Available if we move Yep, equivalent to about 22.5 pounds of fresh chops.
