Ok, so I now have over 80 lbs of #7 1/2 and #8 shot...(mixed) all downloaded from Remington's and Federal's "sport loads". ( and more to come in the near future!)
What the heck am I gonna do with it all?
I have considered making up bean bags for range uses...sewing up old parts jeans, made of denim, and using it that way...BUT, I seriously doubt that I'll need that many bags and not nearly of any weight over say 12-15 lbs...maybe 20?
Seeing as how the shot manufactured today is treated with 'arsenic' as a hardening compound, is it even "safe" to use for 'melting down' to make other rounds, such as for muzzle loading?

Just do NOT breath the fumes rising out of your Melt Pot, and you will be fine, I have used plenty of Old Lead Shot to cast .50 MaxiBalls for my Flintlock Rifles.

Thanks BT! Yeah, that stuff might be hazardous to one's health!
Not to mention their education and welfare!

Needn't be said, but to be safe - it's an outdoor job for sure!
