Sheriff's Tips: The Nighthawk something some may like or want... Sheriff's Tips: The Nighthawk Custom Browning Hi Power
A fine looking pistol over all, but not for $3,195.00. I LOVE the HP and used one in IPSC for years until I switched to the 1911 for my comp gun. The trigger and sight improvements are mandatory on any stock HP IMO, but I prefer a low profile adjustable rear sight or Trijicons for a carry piece. The beaver tail would be nice. I'm old school so I don't really care for their texturing. I much prefer checkering. Also, I noticed that the mag well wasn't beveled. One of the first things I do to any semi auto that I buy if it isn't already done. If you knock off a grand from the price(that's what a HP will run you nowadays) a person could do (or have done) the other improvements for a lot less than $2,195.00, at least around here. NOT knocking their pistol, and thanks for posting the gun porn, I just feel it's over priced.
Love any thing J.M.Browning had a hand in, but a costume HP? Just not my Cup O Joe. I do love the HP as original, I guess I am just sort of a stick in the mud. To me there are a hand full of good pistols you really shouldn't mess with, Beretta M9, and Browning HP, and the original A1 1911 as issued. Any other "newer" 1911's, have at it, I love them custom.
God help you if you actually shoot some gang banger wit that! FIRST the cops will take it. This is ENTIRELY up to the anti-gun county attorney (is there any other kind? No.) if he wants you stripped of any protection, so that is a given. Next the thugs... er cops will steal it. Sorry, back. It will be "destroyed", accidentally of course, which means it ended up in a cop's locker. I knew one cop who regularly did that until he mysteriously died by driving his SUV off a ferry in the middle of the river and drowned after he was caught. Then there was the break in to a house and a legal full auto Thompson stolen, the BATF cut the lock off a cops locker and there it was. Another breaking and entering ended up with all the stolen guns in a cops locker as well, so don't try to tell me it doesn't happen. The best case will be you get the gun back after a number of years, rusted, chewed to pieces and shoot to hell and never cleaned. Yeah know quite a few cases of that as well.
Hang on, Ura-Kai! I bought a new Beretta 92fs yesterday and I'm agonna mess with it!!! Beautiful Hi Power, but big dollar item! I'm much to cheap for that!
