Religious people can be funny. [woot]

If everybody is so worried about a mythical, downcast demon angel spawn of hell while real men in black uniforms and steel toed boots are stomping their heads in, fine with me. I call this "acceptable diversionary delay tactics", or "acceptable collateral damage". Mark of the beast...give me a break.

    Everyone can be funny. :)

Not much different than a thumbprint required for check cashing at most banks.

Except this is starting in elementry school. I don't know many kids with a checking account or a registered thumb print.

    YMMV

Maybe you've missed the Mark of the Beast from WW2.

Find a Jewish Survivor, they'll tell you all about it.

I've known one Survivor that was willing to talk of his time as a child in a camp. He still had his number on his left wrist.

    The beast then was Hitler.

Some silly Mom making a mountain out of a mole hill. #1 it is not manditory (her child or children can opt out). #2 there is no marking, I agree it is no more invasive than a school id card or a fingerprint, and in the case of food and a school lunch room I can see benefits specially for those with special needs or allergies. Nothing to see here folks. No beast, just a stressed system trying to safely streamline it a little.

If she believes in the Christian god, then who does she believe made the vein patterns in her children's hands ?

Better yet, who guided the builders of the scanner?

Sorry, anything that IDs me 100% without being implanted or put on by man is something I will stay away from.

Then again, I do believe in prepping and being aware of what's in progress.

    YMMV

"Nothing to see here folks." Sounds like pat answer to most Gov Concerns, by those who want you to feel good.

Then again what's to stop the school to scan all kids "just for the good of the child" and to "insure security" etc.

    Yep, no problem!

Okay lets take another stab at it from a different direction. My Opinion; the public school system sucks and is set up so that your children will most likely fail. The government dictated curriculum is biased to the left. It does not have a conservative tilt, quite the opposite. Trust big brother, he will take care of you, just obey, do as I say, .... here drink the kool-aid. It's good for you.
    .
My point is, as a parent, you are failing your children sending them to public government schools. ...... so what difference does any of the rest of it matter what so ever.
    .
Pack their lunches, or opt out, or keep them home and school them yourself, or if you are rich send them to a private school you have checked out thoroughly and that you belieive in their curriculum and teaching methods.
    .
BTW, cameras are everywhere, microphones and recording devices as well, big brother is watching. Computers can recognize faces, speech patterns, and lock onto certain words. I just don't see this being reversed unless the grid goes down hard for a long time. It's the world we live in. Get over it, or start the revolution.

LOL! Sorry, I just find that h-i-l-a-r-i-o-u-s because Hitler was a Thule Society banking cartel stooge puppet and the world received the UN to replace NATO and global banking, global military, global courts and global politics. Hitler is nothing compared to the blood shed by the war for profit syndicate, actually he was only a small part of it. Beast? How many times will the religious types point at their purposefully vague scripture and exclaim "the end of the world is nigh!"? I apologize if I seem rude, this is not my intent, it's just strange to me in this modern era with virtually unlimited knowledge at our disposal, people still tend to believe in fairy tales. Oh well. As for the Jewish "survivors", they don't need to remind me that IBM made the machines to categorize and stamp the Jewish prisoners of the Nazis. I think Tac made an excellent point --cameras, microphones, voice recognition, facial recognition, electronic tracking (would you like to become a member of Citgo and save $$$ for every dollar spent, you get .10 cents!) computer tracking, fusion centers, psychological profiling, government schooling, high fructose corn syrup, behavioral conditioning, marketing...the list is almost endless. It's not the "mark of the beast" you need worry about --it's total enslavement to despotic (real) human filth.

Oh, and this topic probably belongs in the religious forum I am guessing.

ditch witch I do stupid crap, so you don't have to

Our exchange student told me that the seniors in our local high school do not know who Idi Amin or Pol Pot were, think the UK consists of every country in Europe, and can't find her country on a map. However, if they wear gray sweatpants (blue or black is apparently ok) or a shirt with sleeves that are less than exactly 3 inches wide to school they will be sent home and receive an unexcused absence for the day, five of which will cause them to fail the class. I had to explain to her that public school is less about learning, and more about churning out a compliant workforce that won't question the idiotic rules passed down by those in authority.

Like Tac said, if your kids are going to public school, you got bigger problems than a vein scanner for lunch.

When you take the GMAT, LSAT, GRE or other graduated admissions examination you are required to have your palm recorded and scanned every time you enter or leave the room during the testing process.

Cheating is rampant in those, because the actual lack of education in the public schools is not continued in all aspects of colleges and universities.
Students who do well are offered quite large sums to take the tests for other, less able "students".

I have been in this situation. Guy asked me to take it for him, I said no, so some other kid did it. The guy that asked me....Hes now in the NFL.

Imagine, if he took it and couldn't have gotten into college Dallas wouldn't have a starting ILB.

Thanks you made a good point, and I'll just add this "it's total enslavement to despotic (real) human filth" which is always started in small steps.

If you can't see it (the scanner as a tool of oppression) then we're both wasting our time here.

Not that we do not see it as an incremental step toward a total surveillance dictatorship, but that we do not believe in fairytale monsters being behind it.

I posted an item I found by accident. It was about a scanner.

I included the article's quotes in the header from those of whom the article was about.

THEN, 4 or 5 list members decided to go overboard on.

Religious Aspect> Not my Bag just part of the article, which was not from a religious source but a concerned citizen and how they felt.

Public Schools being bad> Raised 3 kids and they all went to public schools and are aware of the world they live in, that was just my part of their schooling.

and Fairy tales.> >Actually just part of the warnings in history, some religious, some facts expereinced by the oppressed that lived.

And that "oh well no differnt than finger prints> It is extremly different for it is another data point of our movements and can be taken easier than finger prints.

Seems some need to stick to a topic.

or they can go all ballistic.

    ME?

I'll stay away from the scanner and I'm glad I am aware of yet another Big Brother tracking device.

We actually agree on this, the only difference is that I see the going overboard as starting before you found the item.
