They dare not go through with it because then their intentions are clear and all cards are face up. there ARE alot more of "us" than "them" they lose http://coyoteprime-runningcauseicantfly.blogspot.com/2008/10/ oh-so-scary-martial-law-paper-tiger.html Friday, October 17, 2008 The oh-so-scary "Martial Law" Paper Tiger "The interests behind the Bush Administration, such as the CFR, The Trilateral Commission- founded by Brzezinski for David Rockefeller- and the Bilderberger Group, have prepared for and are now moving to implement open world dictatorship within the next five years. They are not fighting against terrorists. They are fighting against citizens." - Dr. Johannes B. Koeppl, Ph.D., former German defense ministry official, Oct. 17, 2008

Anyone who believes they wouldn't go through with martial law has learned nothing from Katrina. After a week a starvation with no fresh water people were happy to have the military come in. Far from coming in on a mission of mercy they were given shoot to kill orders from the governor(http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/archives/la_governor_warns_troops_will_/)
how do you get troops to shoot people trying to survive? It's easy when they're getting all the news from you and you can spread any rumors you want about what these people are doing. Of course during Katrina they turned out to be mostly false (http://articles.latimes.com/2005/sep/27/nation/na-rumors27) so instead of helping the people they hearded them onto buses and planes, refused to tell them where they were going and as for the armed populace? Of course they were all dis-armed (YouTube- NRA: The Untold Story of Gun Confiscation After Katrina). Sounds like a dry run to me. We may have 300,000,000 handgun owners but when faced with the military most will give up their guns willingly. I would venture to say that people are not nearly as "educated" as we may think.

Katrina: Governor Orders Troops to Shoot and Kill Looters

    <table><tbody><tr><td valign="center">[IMG]</td> <td valign="center"> James Joyner | Friday, September 2, 2005</td> </tr></tbody></table>
Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco has ordered the National Guard to “shoot and kill” looters in New Orleans.
La. governor warns troops will “shoot and kill”

From the same article:"Indeed, were I still on active duty, I would refuse this order as illegal. Not only does the use of the military for domestic law enforcement rather clearly violate the posse comitatus law but shooting unarmed civilians violates all the ethics of professional soldiering that I learned. It is ironic, too, that we are treating an American city suffering from the worst natural disaster in memory as a hot fire zone while our soldiers fighting in Iraq are under much, much tighter rules of engagement.(emphasis mine)

Looters with a big screenTV are not just humble docile people just trying to survive..but we did see gun confiscation in its most blatant form. : However I would agree its uniquely American we send in federal disaster relief forces armed to the teeth...

I am begining to think Americans won't lift a finger to oppose anything this gov does until it wants to take away their tv and beer....They were talking about a "new world financal order" at camp david yesterday, They'll just skip the whole Amero bother and move straight into world socialism.
