When i saw the cost of the sh*t my better half bought for the first pregnancy, i just about had a heart attack. When i saw it start the second time around i put my foot down. The only problem was my timing. Turns out she hadn't slept in 2 days and was fighting morning sickness that lasted until dinner. I'll spare the details of how the horns came out of her head and she grew from 5'1" to 8'. Now i know better and i don't even think it, cause they are psychic and will know.

Hahaha, that is the philosophy that I have adopted. She can buy what she wants within reason so long as it is high quality. I know the prices are wild and crazy but I try not to worry about things like money...after all, our government doesn't and I am sure that we wont be using it that much longer anyhow.

Consignment places are a good bet. Generally, the clothes are practically new.

Thanks for the suggestion. She has done a nice job doing that so far CATO. She bought most of her maternity clothes so far off of a mothers network here in Pittsburgh. $65 for everything.

My wife does really well with that stuff too, some things are splurged on, but others shock even me- like last fall when I got home from work and found one of those big plastic back-yard club houses and a small fleet of 3 cozy-coups, she picked themall up for $15 total. Almost as impressive as her getting all that crap home by herself with just the Enclave.

One suggestion that worked out well for us is getting on Amazon's Prime Membership and their Mommy club. In addition to that, you sign up for subscribe and save (saves you 15%) for things like wipes, diapers, etc.

That is awesome. We are amazon prime members currently and get out dog food $9 cheaper a month that way. However, I had no idea you could do that with baby stuff. It's called "Mommy Club"?
