getting ready to do .270s for the first time with varget and 110 gr bthp the problem is if i seat to the canelure the OAL is to short i done want to get too much pressure. What should be the min OAL?
Lyman 49th says OAL should be 3.340 (270 Win) Using Varget with 110 gr. bullets, 46.0 gr. starting load and 51.0 gr. max Your casing length should be 2.540 with no bullet seated. Try resetting your seating die to correct. Check alternate manuals for comparable results.
