ZERUST EXCOR I've got gun sleeves made of Zerust Excor. It's a heavy plastic sheeting impregnated with corrosion inhibiting material. Rifle bags start at $2.75 each. Handgun bags are less. Or you can buy the material in bulk & make your own using a wood-burning pen, heat sealer, or just wrapping your gun with it & putting it in a FoodSaver tube and vacuuming the air out. A simple inexpensive way to protect a handgun is to buy the bulk stuff,wrap a part of a sheet around the handgun, & throw it in a Zip Lock Bag. If you have a vacuum sealer, you can give your guns the ultimate protection. Rolls of FoodSaver bags cost about $40.00 for 100' on ebay. If you put your guns in Zerust, vacuum all the air out, & seal the ends, then as long as the vacuum is tight, you know that NOTHING has gotten in. I make them about 4 or 5 inches over length, so that I can cut them open at the seal, inspect or play with the contents, then repack & reseal the items. The Zerust contain a petroleum distillate that precipitates on the metal of the gun while it's in storage, plus it's impregnated with some sort of ferrous material that is supposed to have any loose water vapor attach to it, rather than the metal of the guns.
