PANO – The Vietnam People’s Navy on June 30th announced a decision on the establishment of a submarine sanatorium under the Navy’s Logistics Department in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province.
The first VND 210 billion facility was already built on an area of 12.8ha.
The centre is responsible for rehabilitating and improving health for submarine troops, and applying both modern and traditional methods to provide health consultancy and diagnose unusual mental and psychophysiological phenomena of submarine sailors after returning to the mainland.
Rear Admiral Pham Xuan Diep, Deputy Commander of the Navy, stressed that the establishment of the centre would contribute to ensuring the submarine troops’ health. He asked the centre’s staff to well operate equipment, strengthen solidarity and overcome difficulties to complete all missions.
Thereafter, he handed over the military flag “Determined to Win” to the centre.
