Just feel like posting some pictures of my wee little beasties. Can't say I don't love showing them off a bit. First pic is my toad, then my Columbian rainbow boa, then my western hognose snake.
Then here is my pet dragon- err I mean my pet monitor lizard He's a little over 4ft long snout to tail.
Any thing he'll eat. He eats whole chicks, beak feet and all; whole mice when I have them, when I have rats available I plan to feed them as well. He can eat up to 6 whole baby chickens a session, or like 10 adult mice. I also have a colony of cockroaches I feed occasionally. We have to order his food in bulk from a website, we order around 300 chickens, 300 adult mice, and 300 pinky rats (not all at the same time however). He extremely expensive to say the least...
Why, then, do you not grow his food yourself? Mice will grow nearly anywhere, and most monkeys seem to have chickens.
I wouldn't have too much of an issue with it, my parents however prolly would. I am going to look into whether or not it is a possibility. Another matter is that of euthanasia. I'm not fond of breaking their necks, it freaks me out and I hate the twitching.
Then let the lizard do it, as nature intended. As for the food, perhaps a neighbor would be interested in a new hobby and a bit of folding money?
