Need a little help here I have a Colt .32 acp variant III (post 1922) that I need disassembly info.. The barrel can be removed like the VI but slide will not release... the gun is a shooter... Suggestions?
Thanks, however apparently the 1903 Vi & VII as shown above seem to have a different disassemble process that the VIII... I can remove the barrel but the slide does not come off the frame rails... any suggestions?
Does yours closely match the type III @ Colt Pistols and Revolvers for Firearms Collectors - Model 1903 .32 ACP & Model 1908 .380 ACP Pocket Hammerless Standard Variation Type III ? That page links to Colt Pistols and Revolvers for Firearms Collectors - Model 1903 .32 ACP & Model 1908 .380 ACP Pocket Hammerless Disassembly Instructions and this PDF http://www.coltautos.com/pdf/Colt1903ph.pdf
300,000 + serial number, 17 instead of 19 striations on the slide, crosshatched safety not diamond, horizontal striations on the mag release... integrated barrel bushing... I'm pretty sure it is... I can remove the barrel using the standard process but the slide will not come off the frame... (EDIT)n I can't open the .pdf it requires a password...
A 32 Colt was my first purchased personal pistol. Kept it in my pocket and holster on many bases. Still have it and it still fires well. The "horse" is nearly worn off but it still "runs" like a colt should.
