    We have power.
The Ron Paul community is pretty amazing isn’t it? In just five days we’ve worked together to sign up almost 4,000 pledges to donate on February 1st in honor of Ron and Carol Paul’s 51st wedding anniversary. Many more than this will give on that day.
Can the media ignore Ron Paul in a two person republican debate?

Supporting the Ron Paul candidacy means more now than it ever has before. Huckabee and McCain have very little money left. If they don’t do well on Super Tuesday they will both drop out. Ron Paul will stay.

Just a little bit more effort and we’ll have the media pulpit for Ron Paul (and the freedom message) that we have been dreaming of since the very start of our efforts.

Give all you can on February 1st. We’re just about to knock this thing out of the park.
Please tell everyone you know about http://www.FiftyOneYears.com
    Sincerely,
    Trevor Lyman

We know that many of you already are aware that Friday is Ron and Carol's 51st wedding anniversary. We thought now might be a nice time to share a little bit of their wedding story, from the words of Carol Paul.
"I actually came into the picture about 1952 when Ron was my escort to my 16th birthday party. Don't tell anyone - but I asked him... actually my birthday is February 29th and it was a Sadie Hawkins-type party where the girls asked the boys... and I asked him.
    ...
"We went away to college (different colleges in different states), but always kept in touch. On February 1, 1957, we married in an all-white wedding with the bridesmaids carrying armloads of red roses. The flower girl wore a white dress and sprinkled rose petals down the aisle. A fraternity brother of Ron's sang "The Wedding Prayer" and the "Lord's Prayer." Both are very special to us, even today.

"We spent his last semester in college married, and living on the third floor of an old home in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. For one year Ron was manager of the college coffee shop called "The Bullet Hole." He worked as steward and house manager for his fraternity, and had a small scholastic scholarship to help finance his way through college.
You can read more about Ron and Carol's life story in her article, "The American Dream," on our website.
For those of you who will be contributing on Friday in honor of Ron and Carol's many loving years together, we've included an added bonus: Everyone who contributes at least $201 (since Friday is, after all, 2/01) will get to write a personalized anniversary message to Ron and Carol!

In the coming days, we'll display some of these messages on our website, and we're also going to present every one of them, along with your names, as a gift to Ron and Carol!

Thank you in advance for your help in giving Ron Paul one big fundraising and media push before Super Tuesday! https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate

    Email from Carol Paul today:

    February 1, 2008

    Dear Friends,
Ron and I are so honored that you all are contributing to the campaign in honor of our 51st wedding anniversary. That is very special.

We are celebrating our special day as we travel from the California debate to Seattle, Washington and Denver, Colorado for the cause of liberty. We are not giving up our day but sharing it with the voters as you are sharing the fruits of your labor for freedom. Ron says "Freedom works!!" and I believe it does.

Thanks again for your support in prayers, letters and donations. Here are two letters I've received so far that really touched the hearts of me and Ron:

Shellie Singleton from Hampstead, NC says:
"We love you, we treasure you, and we revere you. For the first time ever, my family has finally realized that we are not alone in our desire for the government of the founders. Thank you for bringing so many believers in liberty and freedom together. What an amazing feeling it is to belong to a true revolution, what an awesome responsibility! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!"
Colin Mahon from North Ridgeville, OH writes:
"The two of you may never fully understand how many lives you have touched and changed. I now have great hope for my daughter as I now feel I am making a difference in her world. I went from a disenfranchised, non-voting, angry American citizen that had lost all hope for our country to a political activist in the last 6 months. Thank you for your honesty, integrity and patriotism. You did more than cure my apathy, the two of you saved my life."
We wish we could thank each one of you individually but maybe one day our paths will cross and we will do just that. Ron is so sorry that he could not make it to every event that you have worked hard and planned for. I wish for a few more hours in the day, but since that is not an option we make do with what we are given.

With love to all our wonderful supporters,
    Carol Paul
