Wal-Mart officials are looking at security tapes after an announcement was made for "all black people'' to leave a store in South Jersey.

A man used the public-address system at the Route 42 store in Washington Township Sunday night and calmly announced: "Attention Wal-Mart customers: All black people leave the store now.''

Patricia Covington and Shelia Ellington were inside the store when it happened and told the Courier Post that customers and store employees looked stunned when they heard it.

"In 2010, I want to know why such statements are being made because it flies in the face of what we teach them [our kids] at home, and that's tolerance for people," said Ellington.

Ellington and other customers let store management and police know they were upset.

They asked the store to use the same announcement system to apologize to customers that night, which it did.

Wal-Mart management called the incident "unacceptable," and said it's working to make sure nothing like this happens at any other stores.

Washington Township police and the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the incident as a possible bias crime.

"I can't believe it in this day and age," Covington told the paper. "Wal-Mart needs to be more responsible."

Covington and Elllington are boycotting the store.

My wife's parents both work at Wally's. Some of their observations about people are keenly intuitive - even if not PC. We could all learn something by spending 8 hrs a day watching people come and go at the entrances.

OH NOES, I'm upset so I gots to call the po-po!! Geesh, I'm sure it was a joke, nothing more nothing less. But then again, since I'm white "i've never been harassed because of the color of my skin".

And what is a "bias" crime? I'll prolly fall out of my chair laughing if they find out the guy that said it was black.

Oh, and that "people of walmart" sight - yeah it's sick and disgusting, but I keep going back to it, kinda like slowing down to look at a bad car wreck.

    Black people.

I don't like the race card being whipped out and waved in my face since the evil white people have become the target of reverse discrimination under "affirmative" policy. Let's just own up to the fact that racial tension is a given in a diverse culture -especially when the government adds to the fire by playing favorites with "minorities". We are meant to be divided so that we cannot stand together; to stand as one against the corruption of Federal policy and control of an illegitimate government.

Wal-Mart is certainly not responsible for the actions of one person with the code to the phone system intercom. Folks probably just see a lawsuit (free money) because their "feelings" were hurt. Hogwash, I say. I haven't met more than 2 or 3 black people in my life that wasn't racist (toward whites). Where are all of the complaints in media news about each and every racial slur directed toward Whites? Oh that's right -it's called Comedy Central Ghetto Special and prime time television. Social programming at its finest. How typical. How pathetic!

    Walmart.

Discrimination is discrimination, no matter what gear you're in.

So it would be acceptable to ask all of the white patrons to leave?

I generally find that those who scream loudest about 'discrimination' are usually the worst offenders.

"Investigators also scoured Facebook, MySpace and YouTube, and found postings, including some that the police chief said involved “kids bragging” about what happened."

Hehehe..... the 'social networking' bites them in the posterior again...... :D

A good reason I do NOT sign onto that nonsense.

So a dumb kid pulls a stupid prank, and now he goes to jail and gets a criminal record....... PC raises it's ugly head again. Sure, he needs his chops busted - but this is NOT a crime. I guarantee, had it been a black kid telling all white folks to leave - it woulda been quickly swept under the rug and forgotten.

Typically, this concept of "Equal Rights" is neither equal nor right.

I use to think the same thing until a few years after Walmart came to town and they started checink your bags and receipts sort of that is .

The area I am in is still prdominately white yet with the Bus lines and such running right down the main road Walmart is on there are tons of blacks in there every day .

I lost count years ago at how many time when the "Bag checker" is black how often he just waves blacks through even when they have high dolar electronic item like TV's and computers yet will stop every white man carrying a small bag that seems to be holding maybe $20 worth of the "what I call Day to day crap" Paper towels , TP tooth paste etc. , even when they checked out at the express right in front of him while he watched .

I've gotten to the point I just walk right past them and ignore there requests for me to stop .

As far as I know as long as I have paid for what is in my hands and/or basket and can prove it to a cop if they ever dare to call one I am not breaking any law , a Walmart employee door person isn't a LEO and can go F themselves !

Call it discrimination or reversediscrimination or what ever I am sick to death of it .

Yet another example of American corporatism setting the precedence:

    [rofllmao]
    [loco]

    Why is this all happening?

    [peep]

End the corporations. End gestapo militarized police. End the media. End the FED. End affirmative reaction. End the insanity already.

"The boy, from Atlantic County, was charged by Gloucester County authorities with bias and intimidation and harassment in connection with the episode last Sunday. If convicted, he could face up to a year in a juvenile detention center, officials said."

Bias is a crime? Then how is it that there aren't 230,000,000 US citizens behind bars? There isn't ONE, not ONE person on the face of the earth that has no bias of some kind.

The kid was wrong, dead wrong, but those charges are specious at best, and I hope that prosecutor is smart enough to come up with something real. A trip behind the woodshed would be far more fitting than juvi.

Looks and feels more each day like we have slowly but surely moved into a gestapo-like state!
I can't see this getting any better, not for awhile anyway....
What the kid did was stupid, and he needs to be taught a lesson...jail won't do that!

Exactly. Whenever people ask me how the Gov't plans on confiscating weapons from Americans, I just reply with: "Time."

It's all a matter of time, really. Eventually, there will be so many "criminals" in this country, that so very few will own firearms legally -and the job is done. It's already increasingly difficult just to drive to work each day without running into trouble. Eventually, most everything will be a "crime". Through gradual change and several key pieces of legislation, the Masters of Slavery, Inc. will have their police state. More prisons are built daily.

As the economy continues to slip, and as unemployment sky-rockets, the problem is compounded. Local government continues to grow more uncontrollable -and the Federal Gestapo Fatherland Security sets the precedence.
