Boat is to be named "Her Preference" but she wants to translate it to Latin. Trouble for me is that there are different versions of Latin words, and I'm still trying to learn English. :)

Closest I can get with Google Translate that sounds right is "Eam Prioritatem"

I have no idea if this is the correct translation, but it's all I have. Other version is simply prioritate and doesn't sound as pretty.

Any learned scholars who could critique this before I break out the paint and brushes?

My boats have always just been known as the big one and the little one. I'm make stuff easy.

Thanks for any and all input.

ea potissimum seems to be the consensus among online translating algorithms. It seems to me to be a very unsexy boat name...but it's not my boat; nor my wife to please. :)

ea K would sound almost the same (at least to a chemist), but would substantially save on lettering costs. ;)

'her choice' would be 'illius ascenderunt et electi' or IAEE for short ;)

praeferentia is prefer so feminine possessive is 'ea potissimum' RRL had it above

Might consider "malle eam" which is "She preferred it."
Or perhaps "Elegerunt hoc illa" which is "Chose this, she." (Say it like Yoda.)

The problem with translation is due to the fact that we have a language which has been butchered and brutalized to the point we can say the same damn thing twenty three different times, it's not that Latin is terribly difficult.

Latin is a wonderful language, and it's our root language. Sadly, it is no longer taught like it very well should be.

I went to a catholic high school where it was taught, but even then it was rare. @Brokor it is still useful, especially now, if for no other reason than it helps when reading up on legal issues.
