I wasn't going to be doing another Mountain House group buy for at least a few more weeks, but I just realized how to do some absolutely monstrous money-saving deals ... I just could not contain myself.


Mountain House is offering some preseason/in-season incentives, to include FREE SHIPPING if the order meets minimum guidelines. (Including to Hawaii and Alaska!!) EDIT: I need to revise this a bit--to get free shipping to Hawaii and Alaska, the order needs to be about 50% larger than the standard deal listed/linked below. I just lowered the price on this package in my store by $200. I had sold several of these for well over $1000, including shipping costs ... and that was still below the retail value of the food. (DO NOT make a purchase thru my store if you want this special pricing.)

I would be interested in the 150. There is only one item on there that doesn't interest me and that's the blueberry cheesecake. Any other deserts available?

This just in ... order fulfillment from Mountain House is now at two months.

They tell me that they have a pile of my orders that have backordered product. They're putting together a list for me of the specifics, and when I get that info, I will be able to tell those of you who have ordered where you stand.

Please note--I am unable to get tracking info from Mountain House even when they do ship product, so patience becomes the keyword now.

What can I say? A little Katrina deja vu for those of who recall the amount of time it took to get product this past fall. Demand is high right now ... I'm just surprised that we have come to this point so fast.

All that said ... the pricing deal remains in place. Prices are going back up April 1. You can still get in on the specials and free shipping by placing your order this month. Order whatever you want and just keep in mind that it will now be a couple of months before delivery will take place.

 

I'm advertising this deal in several locations and response has been phenomenal. Thanks to those of you here who have bought in already. Just a reminder that the deal deadline is March 31.

Mountain House was totally out of stock as of this past Wednesday due to a huge demand spike (read into that what you will). They are now working overtime and pulling out all the stops to do huge production runs to get everyone their orders within several weeks' time--the last foods to be delivered no later than mid-May, they say.
