Well, looks like some of the excess items I had at the house are finally going to sell.

Seems as if no one in SE Michigan has any money but they have some 90% US silver laying around.

Selling a computer system this afternoon for 8.00 silver as opposed to 175 FRN.

Not a bad deal actually because, If i really need FRN's i can convert them at a local coin dealer. Otherwise, save them for a rainy day.

So if you are in a cash strapped region, and you yourself have items that you want to sell. Take a look at offering to trade for 90% US silver instead of paper dollars.

    Good idea.
How much 90% do you think they had? I don't run into too many people in the real world who have PMs.

    8.00 worth of dimes
    3 quarters
    and 1 franklin half.

some people might have PMs in the form of Old Coins but not know their worth. Just been tossing them in the drawer as old interesting coins.

but until you say that you will trade something of value for old US coins they don't equate them to anything other than face value.

I just market it as a trade. You have something that i want, i have something you want.

I don't sell much stuff, so I don't have the opportunity to take it in.

But I have used PMs to lower the FRN cost on things.....for example, I needed a crown on a tooth ( gold, of course, :D ) and my dentist charged 900 FRNs for one. I offered a $10 US gold eagle ( 1880's ) or a $25 1/2oz modern version. He took the $10 eagle and was quite happy. So was I, since that was about $675 FRNs at that time....about a 30% discount.

I agree silver has a way to go to catch up with Gold. It scares me that I'm hearing more and more gold ads on tv and now there are radio shows devoted to gold. It's looking like the house flipping craze. But on topic a lot of people are waking up to the vaule of there other assets when they don't have FRN's

I have a bunch of stuff I need to get rid of on Craiglist this spring. I had already decided to list two different prices. One in FRN and one in silver. This is how we can can take our country back and get back to the constitution which requires dollars to be of silver or gold and nothing else. I think it is a real good idea to screw the financial types who make money on every transaction you and I make.

Great idea. I have a $ 9,000.00 guitar that no one has been able to afford to buy from me, maybe until now. I'll even take an acre or two of land for it.

That would be a good deal, if I played guitar!!! Actually, I am interested in these Republic of Texas coins. Anyone have any more information (the RoT website is down).

Website is still down, Andy. (I wonder...)

MAN. This is FANTASTIC. It's enough to actually give me hope! [boozingbuddies]
Of course, the FED bankers are gonna be might ticked off. Last time they were in Texas, they had Kennedy shot for basically the same thing. Let's show them that Executive Order 11110 didn't get started in vain - let's do it for the republic of Texas and for the whole world to see! [applaud]

Yeah, I used to follow that news a while back. It has long been infiltrated by GOV agents trying to divide and conquer. The white supremacists in 2004 was a very clear attempt to destroy the group as well. It's a perfectly valid movement, and they really do have their work cut out for them. It won't be easy trying to issue any silver currency under the republic of Texas itself, but perhaps they can gain enough LEGITIMATE support to convince enough people to switch over rather than promote the federal "dictatorship".

It's catching on folks. The U.S. Mint in the first four days of January sold more than at anytime in their history of silver eagles. If we bring back what the constitution says is real money, It won't be easy but we got a fighting chance of turning this around.
