I'm going to say no. If you add more police on the street, they are going to need to get paid. Preventing a shooting does not pay their salaries. Writing tickets does. And so does new or increased taxes. Seriously, I don't want to pay more in taxes nor have to fight a ticket for coming to a stop at a sign and then having to explain to the judge that the officer was mistaken that I rolled through it.
