I thought I bought a camera, but no! DJI sold me a LICENSE to use their camera ♂️ i hacked my drone over this years ago. cant fly because 2.8 miles from disny. disny has a nfz for 20+ years. not a airport, military, nuke site. fucking disney. did you monkeys catch what dji did right after trump won? they removed all geofencing. go fly anyplace now. whats the differance? i could drive 110, but chose not to. i could fly at airports but dont. by choice. the video details how to regocnise the youl own nothing apps. this is a camera, not a drone, 3d printer, router, phone. a camera. i read the next bambu update will force you to slice on the cloud. goodbye patents, copyright ownership of content. great gig,, why steal when folks will bend over and give them their content/property. you lease permision to use the china camera, drone, phone ect. i all ready have the bambu hack and run my printer offline only. not doing the update. https://github.com/X1Plus/X1Plus/wiki drone software nolimitdronez.com may you live in intresting times. ( chineess curse)
Lots and lots of everyday things are going to a "subscription" based model. Want heated/cooled seats in your car, pay a monthly fee for it. Software for your computer is mostly subscription now. Don't pay the extortion or agree to updated TOS and you software is disabled. Bamboo Labs forced update and crap they pulled is one reason why I won't use their product. I don't have all the fancy color change capability with my printer, but it meets my needs for now. I built it, running RatRig's OS on a raspberry pi, but they use Klipper for the controlling firmware for printing.
Reference subscriptions... It's already happening on some applications, and I expect it to happen more and more in the near future. The revenue stream is just too huge to not do it so it's definitely coming. The question is if Operating Systems will also go that way. Microsoft released Windows 10 in July 2015 and will stop support October 2025, about 10 years. Does anyone believe they will support Windows 11 a full decade? Nah...
