failure and setbacks are all part of it. eventually after 3 weeks the voxel python printed parts came in. the ones " ship same day" yeah. then i get a email saying they will cut the enclosure panels and ship them next week. " is that ok?" hillarious. buy the kit, print your own parts. anyway i got it all together and in the enclosure,,, yep dont work. yet. insteed of feeding the fil. it unwinds it till its un feed,, then says failed to retract fil. so pulled it apart and removed the board and verfied connections in proper spots. no joy. yet. dirty sensor, bad wire, no broken fil in it. supposed to be adjustable where the 1st feeder engages spindal gear,,,,, but i think thats a dif version? might have to print the most recent upgrade. i dont think what i got is " latest" will be awesome,,when it works. and it will. so time to learn how to test hall effect sensors and down load some flow charts. failure is part of the process of ellimination. it got to 10% humidity with one polydrier. once i got the guts out of stock ams i can get 5 rolls in it. so il have a 5 roll dryer box and the 4 roll py ams w dryer. il let you know what i did wrong when i fix it.
Wow, KMB, I am super impressed! I've haven't even played with one of these and you have not only learned how to operate it but, ripped it apart and figured out how it works. Very impressive! Well done, sir!
so i postholed my knee and last few days have not been condusive to actual work on the py. but it got me to wondering, the problem is the feeders are out of adjustment,,,,,, and the parts that i thought i bought ver. 1.05,, the final version has fully adjustable feeder modules. what i got is not adjustable. 47hr and 2 plates to print the right parts. will voxel send the right parts? il ask but from day 1 they have lied so im not optimistic. the entire thing has to be dissassembled and redone with the right parts. in image2 what i got is the left one non adjustable and the rest show how the v 1.05 has adjustment. so while i didnt fix it yet im pretty sure this is the problem. the v 1.05 is to fix the exact problem i have,,,,, sooooo voxel sent me these parts knowing they would not work. i truly wonder about buisness models today. their reply should be entertaing if not annoying. bastards. dont buy voxel. humebeam did a amazing job enginering and designing the ams python. even bambu approves. voxel on the other hand is not doing a good job delivering and printing these kits. get the hardware kit from etsy and print it yourself!
well i emailed voxel ,, and sent some pics. they said they will send the correct parts. prob gonna be a while before i can update this.
Had to look this up, interesting. I'm actually looking at pulling the trigger on a Creality printer (k2 Plus Combo), so it would be similar to the Bamboo, but a bit more open sourced. Good luck getting everything working.
