Update on the retreat: the sunroom is finished and we now have Starlink, because there’s no landline or mobile phone reception at the property and the satellite our sat phone uses stopped working permanently. Guest cabin just needs a few minor touches, like skirting installed.

Lately I’ve been putting some effort into teaching my next generation. Here’s a wild goat my son-in-law shot on my retreat, a head shot with a .223, and his first time processing game other than duck. Later this year I will have a butcher at my annual week long prepper camp to show him how to do it properly. The SIL is a carpenter, so I will be using his trade skills to build a screened in room to hang and process the larger game. Free from flies and other pests.
