Welcome to the monkey tree from coastal North Carolina. Pull up a branch and start reading stuff on this forum. There's loads of great information here from people who've already made mistakes and can help you avoid them. It's not all about stuff. Skills, and more importantly, skills that you've actually practiced and mastered will be far more valuable to you. They weigh nothing and can't be taken from you.
Welcome! Beans, bullets and band-aids. Do as much as you can when you can. Frankly, I think the very first thing is water, be able to boil and filter it and have some stored for immediate use. North Idaho here...
