The one of one Texas Guppybelly Sendero. The blade has steel from an old cowboy line camp on the King Ranch. The handle is Mesquite from the yard of Oliver Loving who started the first texas cattle drives. Mesquite is the perfect field knife handle material. You can skin it then use the knife to smoke the meat. Once. Some of my scratching.

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

I haven't tried mesquite hardwood yet. Only God knows why not...I live in the north Texas mesquite flats.

I have made some good Tomahawk and knife handles from bodark though.

I may try mesquite for some replacement grips on an old Allen and Thurber pepper-box type pistol I have.
