Mom is tough. Once Mom is healed up I’ll put her up against anyone here in a cage match. Except Bishop. After the initial 3 fractures in her neck were on the mend they found 4 more in her lower back. Wicked head wound has healed and is barely noticeable. She had her front tooth fixed yesterday. She was happy happy! She’s still nuts unfortunately. In a good way like her youngest son.
The head wound was like something out of a movie. She was chatting with the ladies stitching it up. I watched the whole thing and learned a bit about layers. Eww. I finally told her “Ma, try to stop chatting because you’re moving your forehead.”

I go see Mom Sunday. Well first I sneak out west to find the elusive Chanterelle mushroom. Then stop and see Mom. I always ask her if she’s feeling well enough to make lefse for me. She then threatens me with the closest blunt object.
