I’d had enough of a borrowed apprentice Wednesday. He was loaned to get some valuable experience for a couple of weeks but now he has a big mess instead. Long story short, he was spouting off nonsense about the L&I book regarding setting a vault and plumbing in some conduit, basically being difficult. When I finally had enough I told him to “take a hike!” He asked, “what truck do I take in?” You know when you move two fingers symbolizing a walking motion? That’s all he got from me. Lol. Instead of walking the mile back to the HQ he called a lineman to come get him, jaw-jacking about safety and etc etc. His bad, he didn’t know that fella is a very good friend of mine. Lol. It was so easy for him to leave and no second thoughts on his short walk either. Dummy.
They (meaning the whole damn world) are gonna miss us when we're gone. On the bright side, AI enhanced robots are gonna make guys like that unnecessary...maybe even unwanted, you know expendable/disposable.
