I love Sigs as much as the next guy. But I was sorely disappointed in the P227.
Here is my review where I bitch about it for 5 minutes so you don't have to.

Love the P6. But it doesn't love hollow points.

Have had the 226 for many years and never found a need to replace it. Like it, but still stick to my 1911 Colt as primary pistol. Been in production for over 100 years so some people must agree with me. Lots of little 9's is not the same as fewer 45's. Hit what you shoot at and you don't need so many rounds in the pistol. Besides if the bad guy is wearing a vest, you will at least bruise the heck out of him with a 45.

I have Glocks but recently gave a long hard thought about purchasing a Sig P365. Three things killed my decision.

First, was their failure to admit to a problem with the P320. I don't know all the details, but it put me off getting into the Sig arena. I will not tolerate a firearm that isn't completely trustworthy and there are too many incidents to ignore. I do applaud them for doing the voluntary upgrade to improve the firearm's safety for free. That's a big deal...

Second, the cost. OMG it was $800+! No thanks.

Third, I have three Glocks that are super reliable and super safe and still functioning so why spend $800.

I must admit though, no pistol I ever held so perfectly fit my hand as that P365 and I still might purchase it in a moment of weakness.

I was issued the M-11 (228) for several years near my retirement, did okay with it, being shorter then the M-9 or my beloved M-1911A4, made it harder to shoot accurately, but I learned! It was neither great or junk, it just worked most of the time! It did have issues, but it really came down to operator understanding and the need to keep it clean and dry at all times, which meant near constant field stripping, something the other two didn't need!
SIG makes decent stuff, but for military use, they should stick to Rifles and leave pistol stuff to the other manufacturers!

    I didn't get a SIG as a retirement gift, I got a custom built M-1911 series 70!!!

You know, call me a fool, but I was shocked to see they got both firearm contracts, both the rifle and pistol contracts. That is something that very seldom happens...

Yes, at least the 227 does not go off on its own. Part of my job is qualifying people for their carry permits. We have a range rule that 320 people get their own lane at the far end away from everyone else.

My primary carry is a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special. I am a 1911 guy but I like trying other things as well.

I never liked Sig. I only have a Sig Hammerli .22 handgun. Would never carry a Sig for protection. But I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to this, sticking mainly with Springfield and everything 1911.

Bit of an update, I'm getting a lot of hate from Sig people for this review. It's like you can't criticize their brand without shattering their ego.

Not really. But I never had this visceral of a reaction before. I just said I did not like their brand of pistol. They act like I walked in to their living room and popped a squat on their carpet.

Yes but they are also disliking the video and killing the views. Usually I get 100 plus views a day. Now I am only getting a dozen or so.

Welcome to posting controversial content. You should have added that .45ACP was a dead caliber and said that it could have been better in .357 Sig.
That would have at least tripled your downvotes on the video
