If they were not making large profits they would not stay in business. There is a reason especially after some disaster unfolds your premiums will go up. The funnier part of all of this is either by law or by contract if you want something i.e. a home you have to carry insurance. It's nearly as bad if not so as taxes.
Yep , western NC and Tennessee has learned about the insurance scam in the last few yrs ,,,, for a good bit of these folks ,, the insurance payout ,, doesn't amount to what was paid into for 20 yrs ,,,
